Victoria Leaders Support Congress 2013 At UVic
The Canadian Federation of Humanities and Social Sciences has chosen the University of Victoria as the site of the 2013 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences—the largest and most respected multi-disciplinary gathering of researchers in North America.
UVic was chosen for a number of reasons including the support it received from community leaders:
Robert Gialloreto, President and CEO of Tourism Victoria: “Hosting the 2013 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences will be a great boost for the city of Victoria and the entire region. This collaboration between the University of Victoria and Tourism Victoria to bring this conference to the area may well bring more than 10,000 attendees to the region, showcasing Victoria to the world and creating a huge economic impact here at home.” Contact: Tourism Victoria Communications Coordinator Kelsi Woodward: firstname.lastname@example.org or 250-414-4477
