Ethics Analysis of CMA Recommendations for a Sustainable Health Care SystemThe Canadian Medical Association will debate the future of our health care system at its annual general meeting Aug. 13-16 in Saskatoon. Resolutions to be acted upon include defining the values that should influence the setting of health care priorities, resource allocation, and determination of which health care services should and should not be publicly insured.
Dr. Eike-Henner Kluge, UVic philosophy professor and ethicist, will be available to comment to the media on the ethical aspects of these issues. A founding director of the CMA's Department of Ethics and Legal Affairs, Kluge has expertise and broad experience in a wide range of biomedical ethics issues.Media Contacts:
