Strings Mentoring enables many of UVic's fine undergraduate and graduate students to participate in the development of strings education in the public schools. International ResearchThe Lafayette String Quartet, in conjunction with their colleagues Drs Harald Krebs and Daniel Biro will be presenting "The Bartok Quartets, Tradition and Legacy" as part of an international conference to be held at the University of Victoria in late Sept. 2008. As part of the conference, performers, composers, theorists and musicologists from all over the world will be coming to speak on the remarkable life of the musical pioneer, Bela Bartok.
