UVic named one of BC's top 50 employers
The University of Victoria is named as one of BC’s top 50 employers in an annual competition organized by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers.
This special designation recognizes the BC employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. UVic is recognized for the support it provides to employees who are new mothers with maternity leave top-up benefits and to employees who are new fathers or adoptive parents. As well, UVic is acknowledged for its onsite child care centre and the help it provides to employees as they prepare for retirement with contributions to a pension plan.
BC employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers as part of the national competition using the following criteria:
