UVic linguist Dr. Ewa Czaykowska-Higgins (pictured above) received a 2012 BC Community Achievement Award on Apr. 25 in recognition of her collaborative approach in support of the five-year Coast Salish Language Revitalization CURA project. She is also featured in the new “Faces of UVic Research" video series, which puts a voice and face to UVic researchers as they talk about the work they're doing and its impact on society.


Achievement award means more than words

This week, University of Victoria linguist Dr. Ewa Czaykowska-Higgins received a 2012 BC Community Achievement Award at Government House in Victoria in recognition of her highly consultative approach to fostering collaboration and respect among the partners of the Coast Salish Language Revitalization CURA Project.

New strategic plan now available

UVic’s renewed strategic plan, "A Vision for the Future: Building on Excellence," was approved by the University Senate and the University of Victoria’s Board of Governors in January. The online version of the new plan is available on the website, and printed copies have been distributed to departments.
